| Jeffrey Serafini |

Please welcome Jeffrey Serafini as Potomac
Floral Wholesale's new fresh cut flower buyer.
Jeffrey comes with over 25 years of floral experience.
His first job out of college was as a lobbyist for higher education.
He left the world of politics and began his career in flowers in
1986 by working at a design oriented retail "shop" in Park
Slope Brooklyn. He transitioned to wholesale in 1989 and
has been happily sourcing exceptional and unusual stems
ever since.
Irma, his wife, is a graphic design artist working in New York City
and the surrounding area. They recently celebrated their 18th year
of being married together.
They are both passionate about gardening, renovating their 90 year
old cottage in the Lakes area north of NYC, and sharing their
love with their Bullmastif, Scarlet and their cat, Logan.
Jeffrey spent the last 21 years in the New York City Flower Market,
most of them at Fischer & Page ltd.
He worked closely with the nation's top designers, and taught
classes for new and aspiring future florists when time allowed.
His efforts to source quality material are seen in books by
Preston Bailey, Avi Adler, David Stark, Michelle Rago among others;
in Martha Stewart Living, Southern Living and many other
magazines and catalogs; on Jeff Leatham's "Flowers Uncut",
"The Martha Stewart Show", and in various movies.
Some of his personal achievements in the industry include:
Bringing the first stems of Ilios roses to the United States
Bringing the first Ecuadorian grown Akito roses, and many others
to the United States
Bringing the first Bartzilla (yellow) peonies to the United States
Bringing the first David Austin cut flower hybrids to the United States
Was the first importer of record to bring stems from the Osaka
Flower Auction, Japan.
We wish Jeffrey and Irma well and hope for an easy transition
to the Greater Washington DC Metro Area.
